Why do you need a 1,600 ton press brake?

The required bending force depends on:
- Material thickness
- Material strength
- Bending length
- Die opening

If any of these factors are large, the required tonnage increases drastically.

A 1,600 ton press brake is used when:
- Thick plates need to be bent: 20–60+ mm
- High-strength materials are processed
- Very long parts need to be bent: 6–10+ meters
- Tight radii or deep bends are required
