MACHINE EFD 3000

The EFD machine we are offering has a capacity of 2000 mm, but once the MF and HF adaptation cabinets are installed, this stroke should be limited to approximately 1700 mm. It is equipped with a Siemens 840 D CNC, digitizing three axes: Z, Y (200 mm), and C, a double spindle with separate control double tailstock, one MF cabinet, and one HF cabinet.

For the machine: height is 4400 mm, maximum workpiece weight on the main spindle is 600 kg. The maximum weight per piece on the double spindle is 50 kg.

The converter is transistor-based, rated at 300 kW, and fitted with three frequency ranges: 100 kHz at 200 kW; 3 kHz and 10 kHz at 300 kW.

Process parameter control is integrated into the 840 D CNC and will monitor: voltage, current, power, MF or HF frequency, quench flow rate (via analogue flowmeter), quench water temperature (PT 100 sensor). A color printer is supplied. I have also included the serial link option, which ensures that you do not need to program the workpiece twice—once on the CNC and once on the RTM 100.

- 1 galvanically isolated mains transformer, 400V 3-phase + earth (for network interference and operator safety).
- 1 SINAC P M/H transistorised converter. Power: 20 to 300 kW. Frequency: 3 to 100 kHz.

- 1 C axis, spindle rotation; max. workpiece weight 600 kg, max. diameter on spindle 500 mm (depending on inductor)
- 1 double spindle with double tailstock
- 1 hydraulic circuit with analogue flowmeter for quench water
- 1 secondary hydraulic circuit for quench water without flowmeter, solenoid valve controlled by the part program, no flowmeter supplied
- 1 simple interface for connecting high-frequency inductors
- 1 simple interface for connecting medium-frequency inductors
- 1 operator access door

This installation's main advantage is its great versatility, provided by the wide frequency spectrum (low, medium, and high) supplied by a single generator, which is rare.

The high output power of 300 kW enables processing of large or two workpieces simultaneously.
