CORMAK HBS320 – for double-sided mitre cutting within a range from -45° to +60°. The machine’s design is based on solutions and projects developed by Polish engineers. Its precision and build quality place it at the forefront of bandsaws capable of cutting up to 320 mm in width. A key advantage of this model is the latest-generation hydraulic cylinder. The machine also features a reinforced vise base and a fast-clamping vise system.

Machine Features

The CORMAK HBS320 metal bandsaw enables cutting material at any angle between -45° and +60°. The workpiece can be fed manually or using any feeding device. The cutting feed is gravity-based via oil flow in the hydraulic cylinder. The operator starts the machine with a start button and sets the cutting speed. Once the cutting cycle is completed, the machine stops automatically, and the operator raises the arm to the start position.

The bandsaw arm is made from a very robust, single grey cast iron casting. Combined with a 27 mm wide saw blade, it is ideally suited for multi-series cutting of structural steel, stainless steel, and tool steels. The vise is set in an adjustable bed and equipped with rapid clamping. The blade guides are fitted with roller bearings and carbide inserts, ensuring superior precision and straightness of cut. This has a significant impact on the blade guidance, its service life, cutting accuracy, and cut quality. Carbide blade guidance greatly reduces wear on the machine and the blade.

The base is a rigid, welded steel structure. Inside is a separate coolant tank with an electric pump. The upper section of the base forms a tray for draining coolant and collecting chips generated during cutting. The cast iron worktable, with a swivelling arm on both sides and a control panel, is mounted on the base.

Feed rate is adjustable at the saw’s control panel. Two blade speeds are available: 44 and 88 m/min. When the arm reaches its lower position after the cut, the blade drive is shut off automatically. Operator safety is ensured by blade covers and microswitches stopping the motor upon completion of the cycle or if any guard is opened. Additional protection includes automatic machine shut-off if the saw blade breaks.
