The coordinate drilling machine is equipped with the rare motorized table drive option on the X and Y axes, plus potentiometer. Therefore, tedious manual cranking of the individual coordinates over longer distances is eliminated. Additionally, it features rare thermal stabilization and expansion compensation. To this end, two heaters are provided, which must be switched on separately before starting work and to maintain high accuracy and pitch dimensions. This explains the factory-specified positioning accuracy of 0.002 mm with a resolution of 0.001 mm.

A truly unique feature is that the Hauser is fitted with two Heidenhain digital readouts and a total of four glass scales with 1µm resolution, including the quill feed. This is a major advantage for precise drilling and facing at depth using Wohlhaupter heads, spindle tools, etc. With these options and in this premium condition, this machine is very rare and most likely no longer available in this form.

Experts familiar with these machines—used predominantly in the watch industry, precision engineering, materials testing, and optical industries—will appreciate the value of these masterpieces of machine engineering. Also ideally suited for engine construction/overhaul, test laboratories, technical colleges and training, materials engineering, special machine building, etc.
