4.14.1 Basic Construction

The system is designed as a closed aluminium profile frame and is very compact. The control cabinets are integrated in the lower section of the frame. The main valve island is mounted behind a service door below the control panel.

The system contains four workpiece stops. Operation is performed via a touchscreen. The control panel is mounted on the right side of the frame. The station uses a labelling system from Bluhm Weber; the corresponding documentation from Bluhm applies here.

4.14.2 Functional Sequence

- The incoming workpiece carriers with I/O modules are stopped, lifted (positioned) and contacted in sub-stations 10.1 or 10.2. In these two stations, ...
- In sub-station 10.3, automatic labelling of the I/O modules takes place. Generation of the labels and their content is automatic, as is application to the devices.
- After labelling, the module is finalized in station 10.4, where it is stopped, lifted and contacted. Following finalization, the workpiece carrier is automatically discharged from the station.

Motorised large-roll unwinder
Label rolls with a diameter of up to 430 mm and web lengths up to 900 running metres enable long uninterrupted production runs. Tandem operation ensures continuous production.

Applicator tamp
Quick-change applicator tamps allow labels from small type plates to large DIN A5 EAN128 shipping labels to be processed. The quick-change option allows format changes in seconds. Spring-mounted applicator tamps compensate for uneven product surfaces, ensuring labels are cleanly applied.
